Axioscope 5 MAT Reflected Light Microscope for Material Analysis and Metallography

The ZEISS Axioscope 5 MAT is an upright reflected light microscope specially designed for materials microscopy and is ideally suited for demanding routine examinations as well as advanced analyses in the materials laboratory. It combines high image quality, reliable reproducibility, and intuitive operation in one powerful system.

Thanks to coded components and intelligent light management, light intensity and parameters are automatically adjusted. This results in reproducible results and efficient workflows – regardless of the user.

The system is a turnkey solution for metallography and material analysis. Typical applications include the examination of microstructures, grain sizes, phase boundaries, and layer thicknesses in a wide variety of materials.

The reflected light illumination in combination with various contrast methods such as brightfield, darkfield, DIC, and polarization enables a precise representation of surface structures and material properties.

By integrating it into the ZEISS system world, the microscope can be expanded with Axiocam cameras and ZEN software to form a complete digital documentation system – from image acquisition to analysis and archiving.
