Description

The ASKANIA SMT Ergo – with coaxial illumination combines ergonomic working with high-precision, vertical illumination for deep or reflective structures. It is the ideal solution for users who work many hours a day at the microscope and simultaneously carry out demanding technical inspection tasks.

The ergonomic tube is variably adjustable between 10° and 55° and adapts precisely to body height, workstation height and sitting posture. This significantly reduces neck and back strain and enables relaxed work in QA, electronics, precision mechanics, and assembly.

The coaxial illumination generates almost completely vertically incident light – perfect for boreholes, connectors, laser edges, metallic surfaces, or deep-lying structures. The combination of a cold light source KL 1600 LED (or newer) and a flexible 1-arm light guide (Ø8 mm, 1000 mm) provides powerful, shadow-free illumination. The additional indirect incident light illumination Ø70 reduces reflections and allows for the inspection of glossy surfaces.

With five fixed magnification levels 4x, 8x, 12.5x, 20x, 40x, plan achromat 0.5x and a free working distance of approx. 185 mm, there is plenty of space for tools and components. The robust round base with a 500 mm profile column ensures stability and allows for large height adjustments.

Like every ASKANIA system, the SMT Ergo Coax is also completely modular – compatible with auxiliary lenses, other illumination solutions, cameras, measuring tables, and special tubes.
